Traditional 3/4 bedroom property in great location with approximately 1.500m2 of land. This property is sited on the edge of a village between the towns of Miranda do Corvo and Penela. The house is in need of renovating as it has not neen lived in for approximately 10 years. The house would make a great restoration project. The house has mains water and electricity and is connected to the mains sewage system in the lane at the front of the farmhouse. House - Ground floor: The first door to the left opens onto the spacious adega (wine cellar) that has high ceilings, a concrete floor and exposed ceiling beams. At the side of the adega is another storeroom that was formerly used to store the olive oil from the farm. To the right of the storeroom is the another part of the adega where the bottles of wine would have been stored. House - First floor: Steps from the courtyard take you up to a balcony the runs the full length of the house. The first double doors open onto a short corridor with a double bedroom to the left. At the side of the bedroom is a room that was formerly a lounge with a door to a single bedroom at the rear. Back in the corridor, opposite the double bedroom is an ante room that would make a nice office or work room. From here you pass into what was the original kitchen with dining area. The old rustic kitchen still has a fireplace with chains for a cauldron. The next room along is a much larger lounge/kitchen with a door to the front terrace. This room also has a door to the bathroom that has a bath, basin, W.C. and bidet. To the right of the bathroom is a small bedroom and a second, slightly more modern kitchen. Exterior: The front wall of the property has a metal entrance door, to the right of which is a small shrine that is common in this part of rural Portugal. To the right of the metal door is a pair of much larger metal doors that open onto the large barn in the courtyard. Off-road parking is not a problem as there is space for 2 cars or more in the courtyard. To the right of the house is a very large terrace that was once used as a threshing area. This is now a perfect place for relaxing and alfresco dining. The land at the rear is terraced and contains many olive and fruit trees that supply oil and fruit. At the top of the land is an unused forest track that could be accessed with a 4x4. The property has nice views and no near neighbours. Access is good via tarmac roads and the nearest large town is just 10 minutes away.
