Building On Agricultural Land outside the RAN, the Montijo Master Plan allows an owner’s or workers’ dwelling and buildings for agricultural, livestock or agri-food use on plots of at least 2 ha. The 20,000 m² (2-hectare) plot meets this minimum: the plan’s ratios allow up to about 200 m² of housing or up to about 1,000 m² of other buildings, with a maximum height of 7.5 m and a 20 m setback from the boundaries. The two plots total 37,750 m² (3.75 hectares), which could considerably increase the area available for building. This is not an acquired right. It depends on approval by the municipality.
