It reaches its maximum altitude, 765 m, at the top of Monte do Bom Sucesso, in Chãs de Tavares. Formed by small mountains, the territory extends towards Senhora do Pranto. Bathed to the northwest by the Dão river and its tributary Ludares, it faces to the east with the lands of Fornos de Algodres. To the southwest is the municipality of Nelas and to the southeast the Mondego river that marks the borders. It is visited by several watercourses that subsidise these two important river routes.
